Candidates must have 11 to 18 years of experience in Mainframe Application Development, with strong expertise in Mainframe technologies, COBOL, and batch processing. Proficiency in either CICS or IMS is required, along with working knowledge of the other.
Strong expertise in Mainframe Batch COBOL, JCL, and DB2/IMS DB/IDMS, with good exposure to at least one online systemeither CICS or IMS.
Experience in migrating COBOL applications or performing COBOL version upgrades.
Familiarity with BMC and/or Broadcom IBM Z software suites.
Proficient in both host-based and workstation-based application development tooling.
Skilled in production and test environment problem determination and debugging.
Exposure to modern DevOps tools such as Zowe (open-source z/OS), IBM DevOps, or BMC AMI DevOps.
Experience in mainframe modernization using Rehost or Refactor tools.
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
Experience in enterprise application development using CICS/IMS and batch processing in COBOL.
Background in financial services application development is required; experience in healthcare, retail, logistics, or travel and transport domains is a plus.
Experience in PL/I and/or C programming on IBM Z is an advantage.
Familiarity with Java and/or WebSphere Application Server development on IBM Z is a plus.
Hands-on experience with integration tools such as z/OS Connect, Adaptigent, or OpenLegacy on z/OS is preferred.
Experience with IBM MQ Series is a plus.
Exposure to IBM Z integration with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud is a strong advantage.
