Job Description

Role & responsibilities

10+ years of experience in zLinux DBA Role.
Install and configure DB2 on zLinux systems, ensuring the database environment is properly set up.
Configure and maintain zLinux servers for optimal performance with DB2.
Manage database creation, schema setup, and ensure that DB2 is correctly configured for zLinux systems.
Perform regular database backups and restore procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.
Monitor and tune database performance, optimizing queries and indexes.
Implement and manage user access control, roles, and privileges within DB2.
Ensure compliance with security standards and policies specific to zLinux systems.
Monitor system performance, including CPU, memory, disk, and I/O usage specific to DB2 on zLinux.
Use DB2 performance tools to analyze and tune queries and database resources.
Configure and maintain DB2 High Availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions, such as DB2 HADR (High Availability Disaster Recovery).
Troubleshoot DB2 performance issues, query problems, and zLinux-specific issues that may affect DB2 performance.
