Purpose of this Role: The candidate will be resonsibe to undertake scientific time studies and measure the work and effort required to execute the work and prepare estimation sheet specifically of time and cost for industrial engineering department of all units. As an expert in MOST and Lean principles he will
drive new projects and multi plant facility to establish LEAN based world class manufacturing set up, lay out implementation, workflow for process improvement and to achieve optimization of production and productivity at least possible conversion cost and through put time.
Key Deliverables
1. Conduct time studies on shop floor,create cycle time and cost models for standard activities and establish system to generate database of estimated vs.actual resuource consumption for all future projects.
2. Identify and quantify all types of wastages and plan and execute improvements to eliminate or reduce the wastages through improved planned capacity and productivity as per annual operating plan.
3. Review all fabrication drawing for new projects and convert work content in measurable units.along with application time and cost model to prepare estimate requirements in terms of skill wise man hours, machine hours and consumables, cycle time for assembly part, sub assemblies and total assembly in the project.
4. Undertake assignments of industrial and method engineering for consistent and systemic improvement in plant performance and optimum utilisation of resources and assist all improvement projects under Kaizen,suggestion scheme, initiatives related to cost and cycle time reduction, machine or process selection.
5. Review the estimation of costing and delivery cycle time for all new projects and enquiries.
6. Lead teams for running successful operations, executing projects, transfer and absorption of technology and meeting objectives in tough situations and facilitate new product development, new technology implementation and enhance existing technology's manufacturing methods and tools of lean manufacturing and six sigma.
7. Training and driving continuous improvement projects across plant by implementing kaizen, pokayoke kanban,TPM, moditication in layout, cost effective automotion, mechanization, automation, etc.
Required Skills and Experience
Candidate should have 10 years of experience in process excellence, lean manufacturing, six sigma, Kaizen, operations , quality management, project management and robotic automation.
