Job Description

We are looking for a Fire & Safety professional to ensure hospital-wide compliance with fire safety norms, emergency preparedness, and safety training. The role requires proactive risk management, staff awareness, and coordination with authorities to maintain a safe environment for patients, visitors, and employees.


Key Responsibilities


  • Conduct fire risk assessments, safety audits, and hazard analysis across hospital premises.
  • Ensure proper functioning and maintenance of firefighting equipment (extinguishers, hydrants, sprinklers, alarms).
  • Develop, implement, and regularly review fire safety policies, evacuation plans, and SOPs.
  • Organize fire drills, staff training, and mock evacuation exercises for awareness.
  • Act as the first responder in fire/emergency situations and coordinate with local fire authorities.
  • Monitor storage and handling of flammable materials, oxygen cylinders, and medical gases.
  • Maintain records of inspections, drills, incidents, and compliance reports for audits.
  • Support NABH/JCI accreditation by ensuring safety protocols are adhered to.

Skills & Competencies


  • Strong knowledge of firefighting systems and safety equipment.
  • Ability to train and orient staff on fire safety and emergency preparedness.
  • Good communication and coordination skills (internal staff & external agencies).
  • Familiarity with NABH / JCI safety standards in healthcare preferred.
  • Quick decision-making and calmness under emergency conditions.
