Associate Manager - Medical Services @ Manipal Hospitals

Job Description

Role & responsibilities

• Overall coordination of medical care, monitoring quality of clinical services, conducting mortality/morbidity reviews, and facilitating NABH/JCI accreditation.
• Ensure adherence to statutory requirements (MTP, PCPNDT, AERB, Radiation Safety, etc.) and clinical governance protocols.
• Recruitment, credentialing, onboarding, performance appraisal, training, contracts, and addressing consultant requirements.
• Monitor and rationalize doctor costs, surgical/medical charges, and participate in tariff revision and compensation structuring.
• Active participation in Medical Advisory Board, Clinical HOD meetings, Infection Control, Pharmacy & Therapeutic, Ethics, Blood Transfusion, and CPR Analysis Committees.
• Handle patient complaints, medico-legal reviews, peer reviews, draft replies, maintain trackers, and oversee safety initiatives.
• Promote DNB/FNB/fellowship programs, continuous training on patient safety, service excellence, and healthcare communication.
• Conduct clinical billing audits, review performance of retainers, and ensure coding accuracy.
• Plan biomedical capex, optimize equipment utilization, digitize medical records, and implement electronic record systems.
• Drive quality improvement programs, media management, government liaising, hospital profitability support, and patient experience enhancement initiatives.

Preferred candidate profile

• MBBS + MBA/MHA
• Medical Services exposure and experience
• Knowledge on statutory compliance
• Hospital administration knowledge
• Good communication and presentation skills
