Job Description
Job Role - Data Governance Lead
Location - Navi Mumbai / Bangalore / Noida / Gurugram
Job Purupose:
- Lead and manage all organization-wide data governance activities and will have responsibility for improving the quality and managing the protection of sensitive data and information assets
- The position will focus on establishing and ensuring adherence to an enterprise data governance framework for data policies, standards and practices
- Responsible for implementing metadata management, data lineage, defining business glossaries, maintaining reference data management, and other data management activities
- Work with all levels of business and technical stakeholders to design and lead implementation of data governance solutions
- Develop business cases for Data Governance programs and lead Data Governance working sessions with the business stakeholders
- Contribute to the advancement of the Data Governance practice by adding to best practices, providing thought leadership, supporting the data team and coaching more junior colleagues on Data Governance
- Implement, configure and maintain hardware for Data Governance software
- Conduct Data Governance assessments, develop recommendations, templates and roadmaps based on required deliverables
Key Skills
- Experience in developing master data capabilities, data standardization, and quality development
- Strong understanding of databases, modern cloud data stores and data structures
- Have good knowledge on stewardship and survivorship
- Experience at using data platforms like Azure, AWS, and GCP
- Experience with relational SQL, Big Data and NoSQL DB
- Knowledge of data visualization software like Tableau, PowerBI
- Exposure to data ingestion, cleaning and processing tools (Spark, Kafka, Scala, Python, PySpark, Azure ADF, AWS Glue, etc..)
- Knowledge & practices of SDLC process and agile methodologies
- Highly organized, self-motivated, pro-active, and able to plan
- Ability of Critical and creative thinking, Fluent in business communication
- Experience managing users and vendors is a plus
