Sr. Automation Test Engineer (Automate API, Cyprus, synthetic, AWS, Web)
Job Summary:
We're looking for a skilled and experienced Senior Automation Test Engineer to join our team in the automobile industry. The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of experience and a strong background in automating a wide range of tests. This role is crucial for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products by designing, developing, and executing automated tests for our APIs, web applications, and synthetic monitoring.
You'll be a great fit if you have a deep understanding of Cypress for front-end testing and are comfortable working with AWS to manage test infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain robust automated test frameworks for API, web, and synthetic monitoring.
- Develop and execute automated test scripts for web applications using Cypress.
- Automate API testing to ensure the functionality, reliability, and performance of our backend services.
- Implement and manage synthetic monitoring solutions to proactively identify application performance issues.
- Use AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda) to manage and scale test environments and infrastructure.
- Work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA engineers to deliver high-quality products.
- Analyze test results, pinpoint defects, and collaborate with development teams to resolve issues.
- Help continuously improve our testing processes and methodologies.
- Mentor and guide junior team members on automation best practices.
Required Skills:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5-8 years of experience in software quality assurance with a focus on test automation.
- Demonstrable experience with automation testing tools and frameworks, particularly Cypress.
- Strong expertise in API testing using tools like Postman or Rest-Assured.
- Experience with synthetic monitoring tools (e.g., Dynatrace, New Relic, Datadog).
- Hands-on experience with AWS services for setting up and managing test environments.
- Proven background in the automobile or automotive industry.
- Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
