Desired Candidate Profile

Responsible for developing software applications in accordance with client and product requirements, using standard software design practices. Develops specifications, codes, writes and performs unit testing, peer reviews, assists with installation, configuration and system testing. Maintains existing software applications. Assists with troubleshooting issues in the client environment.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 7 years in software development industry
Post-Secondary degree/diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
Must be a team player, proactive and work well within a team with strong communication skills
Must be able to work in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment
Must be able to demonstrate a high degree of attention to quality, detail, correctness and deadlines
Experience developing financial order/data management or trading applications is an asset

Must have:
Proficiency with JSE 7.0/8.0 and JEE 6 technologies, design and development
Experience with SQL queries is required, prefer experience with Sybase and/or Oracle
Experience developing RESTful or SOAP Web Services
Proficiency with Maven and GIT

Nice to have:
Experience with Oracle Weblogic application server 12c is an asset
Knowledge of Linux, shell script is an asset
Knowledge of agile software development processes
