Job Description
Key Position Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy data solutions within Salesforce Data Cloud, including data streams, data lakes, data transformations, and segmentation.
- Work extensively with the Data Architecture, Data Platform and Data Engineering team to design data solutions that meet critical business objectives and deliver value.
- Participate in the full SDLC for data projects, including requirements gathering, solution design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Collaborate with business analysts, Salesforce developers, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions within Data Cloud.
- Ensure efficiency of data processing within Data Cloud, both in performance and cost.
- Configure and manage Data Cloud connectors, data streams, and transformations to ensure seamless data integration and unification.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to data quality, data flow, and performance within Salesforce Data Cloud.
- Contribute to the development of technical documentation, including data flow diagrams, data dictionaries, and test plans.
- Contribute and adhere to architecture and development guidelines and best practices for data management and governance within Data Cloud.
- Stay up to date with the latest Salesforce Data Cloud features, capabilities, and best practices.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to maintaining data quality and consistency standards within Data Cloud.
Team Member Requirements
Skills, Qualifications, Experience, Attributes
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience in data management or Salesforce development, with a significant focus on Salesforce Data Cloud (or prior experience with Customer 360).
- Strong understanding of data modelling, data warehousing concepts, and ETL processes.
- Expert proficiency in Salesforce Data Cloud
- Experience with various data integration patterns, data mapping, and transformation techniques.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Salesforce Data Cloud Consultant certification is highly desirable; other Salesforce certifications are a plus.
- Understanding of data privacy and security best practices and experience implementing secure data solutions.
- Collaborate with Data Governance and Enablement team to ensure adherence to best practices and guidelines
- Experience with agile development methodologies.
- Committed to ongoing learning and development
Special Requirements (if any)
- Experience with working under GDPR or similar regulation a bonus.
- Experience in Financial Services sector a bonus.
- Experience with Data Catalogues, Jitterbit, dbt, and MuleSoft are desirable.
