Job Description
7+ years of experience in an IT infrastructure or cloud engineering role, with at least 5 years focused on AWS architecture.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional) or equivalent experience. - Deep expertise in core AWS services, including EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS (specifically Aurora/PostgreSQL), and CloudFormation.
- Proven experience designing and implementing secure and scalable cloud environments. - Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using CloudFormation or Terraform. - Strong understanding of cloud security principles and best practices.
- Architect Cloud Solutions: Design and implement a secure, highly available, and scalable cloud architecture on AWS that meets the technical and business requirements of the CHIP platform.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop and maintain the cloud infrastructure using AWS CloudFormation, enabling automated provisioning, configuration, and management.
- Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce security best practices across the AWS environment, including network design, IAM policies, and data encryption. Ensure the architecture supports GxP and other regulatory compliance requirements.
- Database Management: Oversee the setup, configuration, and maintenance of the AWS Aurora (PostgreSQL) database, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability.
- Authentication and Authorization: Architect and manage the integration with AWS ForgeRock for Single Sign-On (SSO) and define access control patterns for the platform.
- CI/CD and DevOps: Collaborate with the development team to design and implement a robust CI/CD pipeline using GitHub Actions for automated builds, testing, and deployments.
- Cost Optimization and Governance: Monitor cloud resource usage, optimize costs, and establish governance policies to ensure efficient and effective use of AWS services.
- Technical Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to the development team on AWS best practices and act as the primary point of contact for all infrastructure-related matters.
