Job Description
About the Role: Databricks Tech Lead
As a Tech Lead, you will play a critical role in leading engineering efforts, mentoring team members, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable products. You will be responsible for technical decision-making, hands-on development, and guiding best practices across the entire engineering lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead a team of engineers in designing, developing, and deploying scalable, high-performance
software solutions across multiple modules and domains.
- Manage large-scale programs involving cross-functional collaboration and complex system
integrations.
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, and other stakeholders to define
technical requirements, data strategies (including pricing-specific data), and system
architecture.

- Drive end-to-end delivery of features from concept to production ensuring alignment with
business goals.
- Guide implementation of CI/CD pipelines, especially using Azure DevOps for streamlined
builds, testing, and deployment.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and performance management to a team of 30+
engineers.
- Champion code quality via reviews, automated testing, and enforcement of best practices.
- Ensure team follows Agile methodologies; contribute to sprint planning, estimations, and
retrospectives.
- Monitor and optimize application performance, scalability, and security across distributed
systems.
- Stay updated and implement emerging technologies and tools, including Databricks.
- Ideal Candidate Profile:
- 8+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or solution architecture roles.
- 3+ years hands-on experience with Databricks and Apache Spark.
- Strong understanding of big data architectures, data lakes, and lakehouses.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and optionally Scala.
- 8+ years of software development experience, with 2+ years in a leadership or team mentorship
- role.
- Proven success leading large engineering programs with multiple parallel workstreams or
- modules.
- Usage of AI for Problem Solving
- Experience with modern web frameworks like React (primary), and secondary skills in Angular,
- Node.js, Django, or Spring Boot.
- Deep knowledge of software architecture, algorithms, system design, and data structures.
- Experience working with pricing-specific data or pricing models is highly preferred.
- Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) particularly Azure and strong experience
- with Azure DevOps for CI/CD workflows.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric and its integration into enterprise data and analytics
- ecosystems.
- Experience building or leveraging accelerators for rapid application development or testing.
- Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with AI tools and techniques, especially as applied to software testing or intelligent
- automation, is a plus.
