Job Description
- As a Sales Trainee at our Academic Business Unit, you will have the exciting opportunity to support the growth of ANSYS software in engineering colleges across South India. This role is specifically designed for freshers who are eager to kickstart a rewarding career in academic technical sales. Your primary responsibilities will include visiting engineering colleges to present ANSYS Academic solutions, collaborating with professors to define software requirements, liaising with the pre-sales team to organize demos, workshops, FDPs, and tech days, contributing to lead generation and conversion efforts, ensuring seamless coordination for software delivery, installation, and training, as well as staying connected with the OEM to boost awareness and generate leads effectively. To excel in this role, we are looking for individuals who have recently graduated in Engineering (any discipline) and possess a strong desire to learn about academic sales, cold calling, and lead generation. You should be comfortable with extensive travel (up to 70%) across Southern states, have excellent communication and relationship-building skills, and a keen interest in CAD/CAM/CAE software sales. Exposure to MATLAB, CATIA, SolidWorks, or ANSYS during your academic tenure would be advantageous, while prior experience in sales or the education sector is preferred but not mandatory.
