Job Description
- As an experienced Automation QA Engineer with over 8 years of experience, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar frameworks. Your role will involve designing and implementing automated testing strategies to cover functional, regression, integration, and performance testing. Collaboration with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and provide feedback on testability and automation opportunities will be a key part of your responsibilities. You will be expected to identify, document, and track software defects using tracking tools such as JIRA or Bugzilla, as well as conducting code reviews and providing feedback on automation code written by peers. Maintaining and enhancing the test automation framework to improve efficiency and coverage, and integrating automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline using tools like Jenkins, Bamboo, or GitLab CI will also be part of your daily tasks. Additionally, performing manual testing when necessary to ensure thorough coverage of all test scenarios, analyzing test results, generating reports, and providing insights into the software's quality will be crucial aspects of your role. To qualify for this position, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, along with proven experience as an Automation QA Engineer or in a similar role in software testing. A strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and software testing methodologies is essential. You must also have good experience in Playwright for automating web applications, proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript for test automation, and familiarity with test automation tools and frameworks like Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar. Experience with version control systems like Git, knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, or GitLab CI, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, ability to identify subtle issues and bugs, good communication, and teamwork skills are also required. Your ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and stay updated with industry best practices and emerging technologies in test automation will be critical for success in this role. Preferred qualifications include experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner, knowledge of SQL and the ability to write basic queries for database testing, understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and experience with web application testing, as well as familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. This is a full-time, permanent position with benefits including Provident Fund, day shift schedule, performance bonus, and yearly bonus.
