Job Description
- As a Backend Engineer (Ruby on Rails) at our company located in Malleswaram, Bangalore, you will be part of a team working on a platform that empowers creators and entrepreneurs to design, customize, and sell apparel effortlessly. Our mission is to revolutionize how people express themselves through fashion-one custom tee at a time. Your role will involve developing and maintaining scalable backend systems using Ruby on Rails, designing and implementing robust RESTful APIs, working with PostgreSQL or MySQL databases, and applying Test-Driven Development (TDD) methodologies to produce reliable and maintainable code. You will collaborate closely with frontend developers, designers, and product managers to take ownership of end-to-end backend features from ideation to production deployment. To be successful in this role, you should have a minimum of 2+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails, strong knowledge of SQL and experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL, experience building and integrating RESTful APIs, familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud, proficiency with Git/GitHub for version control, and a strong understanding of clean coding practices, scalability, and maintainability. It would be nice to have experience with Docker and containerization, exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment practices, and basic frontend knowledge (e.g., React). This is a full-time position with benefits including Provident Fund. The work location is in person, and the schedule is a day shift.
