SW Engineer (Mainframe Testing) @ ZS

Job Description

As a Test Engineer at Visa's Clearing and Settlement (CAS) Engineering Development team in Bangalore, India, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and performance of infrastructure solutions for business-critical projects. Your primary focus will be on testing sophisticated and complicated business problems and applications using modern software engineering and testing principles. Your responsibilities will include building test tools to enhance the quality and performance of CAS, implementing test automation for Clearing application, setting up and maintaining test environments, designing and developing test plans and functional test cases, analyzing and reporting test results, collaborating with peers and customers in test design sessions, and working closely with the development team to resolve application issues. To excel in this role, you should have 6 months to 2 years of relevant work experience, with a strong background in manual testing of applications deployed in Mainframe. Experience in SDLC methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, and Iterative/Incremental, along with a comprehensive understanding of Mainframe testing tools like TSO, MVS JCL, ISPF, File Aid, COBOL, SQL, and DB2, will be beneficial. Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to work effectively in a high-performance team environment. Experience in Jenkins, git, or other source control and CI/CD technologies would be a plus.
