Job Description
- As a Senior Java AWS Technical Lead on the OneTax engineering team, you will play a crucial role in driving the design and development of scalable, resilient tax processing systems on AWS. Your responsibilities will include leading and mentoring a team of engineers, architecting and designing robust microservices and APIs using Java, Spring Boot, and AWS, delivering hands-on solutions for complex business challenges, integrating with internal and external systems, and driving DevOps, CI/CD, and automation for rapid, safe deployments. You will collaborate with product, QA, and cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality features on schedule. Troubleshooting and optimizing distributed systems for scalability and cost efficiency will be a key part of your role. Additionally, you will contribute to the technical strategy by evaluating new technologies and driving innovation. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or a related field, along with over 10 years of software development experience, with a deep expertise in Java and Spring Boot. Strong technical leadership and mentoring experience, a background in AWS architecture and cloud-native development, and proficiency in microservices, RESTful APIs, and distributed systems are essential qualifications. Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, DevOps, CI/CD, and containerization (Docker, ECS/EKS), as well as excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills are required. Familiarity with Agile teams and a preference for candidates with experience in Financial Services or Tax domain, AWS certifications, familiarity with monitoring tools, and contributions to open-source or technical community.
