Job Description
As a Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE) in this team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining a highly scalable, reliable and efficient reporting and analytical system to support the fast-growing business. You will be collaborating with various business teams in identifying reporting/analytical requirement, building required data model, acquiring new data sources and building comprehensive data visualizations for key stakeholders. You will mine data, identify data co-relation across different functional areas, run statistical analysis, gather insights and make recommendations based on your findings to help senior leaders make key business decisions. Data analysis is at the core Amazon s culture and your work will have a direct impact on decision making and strategy for organizations. You will work with analytic tools, can write excellent SQL scripts, optimize performance of SQL queries and can partner with internal customers to answer key business questions. About the teamReverse Logistics team at Amazon Hyderabad Development Center is an agile team whose charter is to deliver the next generation of Reverse Logistics platform. As a member of this team, your mission will be to design, develop, document and support massively scalable, distributed real time data warehousing, querying and reporting system. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
5+ years of relevant professional experience as a BIE, Business/Data Analyst or comparable consumer analytics position.
Experience defining reporting metrics and developing reporting/analytical solutions using Tableau, QuickSight, OBIEE, BO, Cognos or other BI tools.
Proficient in writing and optimizing SQL queries using large datasets.
Understanding of data warehousing, data modeling concept and building new DW tables.
Working knowledge of data analysis using SQL, ETL, data warehouse and Excel.
Experience in communicating analytical outcomes through written communication to business and technical teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Curious, self-motivated & a self-starter with a can do attitude and can deal with ambiguity and competing objectives in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills and an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams.
Strong operational business understanding, including potential impact of business decisions on various internal and external stakeholders.
Knowledge of software engineering best practices across the development lifecycle
