Job Description
US Recruiter Roles and Responsibilities
1. Job Requirement Analysis
- Review and understand job descriptions from clients or hiring managers.
- Clarify role expectations, required skills, qualifications, and experience levels.
- Identify keywords and technical requirements to improve sourcing accuracy.
2. Sourcing Candidates
- Utilize various sourcing platforms such as:
- Job boards (Dice, Monster, CareerBuilder)
- Social media (LinkedIn, Facebook)
- Internal databases and ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems)
- Referrals and passive talent networks
- Apply Boolean search techniques and X-ray searches for better targeting.
3. Screening and Shortlisting
- Conduct initial screenings via phone or video calls to assess:
- Technical skills
- Communication abilities
- Cultural fit
- Work authorization (e.g., USC, GC, H1B, OPT, CPT)
- Evaluate resumes and shortlist qualified candidates.
4. Candidate Coordination
- Schedule interviews with hiring managers or clients.
- Prepare candidates for interviews with tips, insights, and client expectations.
- Follow up post-interview for feedback and next steps.
5. Offer Management and Onboarding
- Negotiate salary expectations, benefits, and relocation if needed.
- Prepare and extend job offers.
- Coordinate with HR or onboarding teams to ensure smooth joining.
- Maintain candidate engagement until onboarding is complete.
6. Documentation & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with U.S. labor laws and immigration requirements.
- Collect and verify necessary documents (I-9, E-Verify, etc.)
- Maintain accurate and updated records in ATS.
