We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Database Developer to design, develop, and maintain robust database solutions that support our regulatory reporting requirements. The ideal candidate will be experienced in writing efficient and complex SQL queries, optimizing database performance, and ensuring data validation, integrity and reconciliations. You will work closely with Business Analysts, AWS, BI and BAU teams to support data-driven initiatives and ensure the stability of our regulatory data platform. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop logical and physical database models based on business requirements.
- Write efficient and complex SQL queries, ETL using stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
- Closely collaborate with AWS Team to help build the Data Pipelines/Orchestration.
- Optimize and tune query performance for processing high volume of data ensuring scalability.
- Collaborate with other cross functional teams to timely deliver quality database solutions.
- Ensure data integrity, consistency, security, and availability across systems.
- Supporting Testing activities by analysing defects and troubleshooting issues as they arise.
- Performing and supporting DB deployments during Testing and Release cycles.
- Document database structures and data flows.
Required Qualifications:
- 6+ years of professional experience in database development.
- Expert-level proficiency in SQL and hands-on experience with major RDBMS platforms such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MySQL.
- Experience writing complex SQL queries, Procedures and Functions.
- Proven expertise in query optimization and performance tuning.
- Solid experience in implementing and managing ETL processes and data pipelines.
- Working Experience in Data Warehousing and Data Migration projects, definite plus.
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with technical as well as non-technical teams.
- Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to take complete ownership of targeted deliveries.
