Lead I - Software Testing - Qa Automation Engineer (python + Selenium) @ UST

Job Description

Role: QA Automation Engineer (Python + Selenium)

Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and update automated testing frameworks with a strong focus on Selenium using Python.

• Collaborate with QA Leads to design and execute comprehensive QA test plans for cross-vertical projects.

• Design and execute white-box tests to validate internal code logic and functionality.

• Create functional and non-functional test cases based on user stories and acceptance criteria.

• Execute test cases, document results with clear pass/fail status, and log defects in the system.

• Contribute actively to defect triage, management, and resolution by working closely with Developers, UAT Testers, and other stakeholders.

• Develop and coordinate test design, updates, and execution strategies in alignment with sprint-based delivery.

• Establish and maintain best-practice test management structures to ensure efficient workflows and high-quality output.

• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams including System Developers and Business System Analysts through strong oral and written communication.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong hands-on experience with Python and Selenium (core requirement).

• Working knowledge of Katalon Studio and Java is a plus.

• Proven experience in managing and evolving automation frameworks.

• Strong understanding of agile/sprint-based development cycles.

• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.

• Strong documentation, reporting, and communication abilities.
