Job Description
Role & responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer, monitor, and maintain security tools and systems, including firewalls, antivirus, SIEM, DLP, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection platforms.
- Configure and enforce access control policies such as user authentication, role-based access control (RBAC), and privilege management.
- Monitor security alerts, respond to incidents, and follow established protocols to address vulnerabilities and breaches.
- Perform regular updates, patch management, and firmware upgrades across systems and network equipment.
- Assist with vulnerability assessments and penetration testing, and coordinate remediation efforts.
- Manage endpoint security solutions, including encryption, anti-malware, and mobile device management policies.
- Conduct audits of access logs, user activity, and network traffic to detect potential security threats or anomalies.
- Support the development and implementation of organizational security policies, standards, and procedures.
- Deliver security awareness training and promote cybersecurity best practices among employees.
- Prepare detailed reports, risk assessments, and compliance documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 35 years of hands-on experience in system or network security administration.
- Proficient with enterprise-grade security tools and platforms (e.g., SIEM, EDR, DLP, firewalls).
- Solid understanding of encryption standards, security protocols, authentication methods, and access controls.
- Familiarity with compliance standards and frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, or HIPAA.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, network protocols, and operating systems (Windows and Linux).
