Job Description
Candidates should possess strong knowledge on Mainframe DB2 v12, v13 Database Administration.
Requires 24x7 support experience in a large production environment.
Excellent Verbal and written communication skills.
Good interpersonal Skills.
The candidate should have worked in a SLA driven environment.
Ability to work in a flexible, team-oriented and constantly changing environment
- Experience in DB2 v12, v13 on z/OS administration.
- Strong Knowledge on ER Diagram.
- Excellent skills on Db2 products migration.
- DB2 database design and database alteration and Migration.
- DASD/Tape management.
- Capacity Planning.
- Experience in Performance Tuning..
- Strong Knowledge on DB2 Utilities.
- Strong Knowledge of Troubleshooting skills on DB2 administration.
- Proactive monitoring in space usage and troubleshooting space management.
- Excellent performance tuning skills and tools (exp: Tivoli, Omegamons, Query Manager, Transaction Analysis Workbench, BMC Performance Management Suite, IBM Application Performance Analyzer)
- DB2 application users management.
- DB2 Batch job monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Security Management
- Exposure in Disaster Recovery.
- 7x24 support experience in a large production environment.
- Space Management
- Experience in DB2 Tools (CA, BMC, DB2 Admin tool, Omegamon, Db2 Fast Load, LOADPLUS fro Db2, QMF, Log analyser, Db2 Connect..)
- Should have worked in a SLA driven environment.
- Knowledge on REXX, CLIST.
- Experience in SQL Fine tuning, query optimization
- Experience in Mainframe application development using DB2
- Experience with DB2 Debugging
- Change and Configuration management through testing and moving updates through various staging environments (ITIL Change and Configuration Mgmt.)
- Problem identification, determination, and resolution for product or usage of the product in conjunction with requestor (ITIL Incident/Problem Mgmt.)
