Job Description
- The role of an Analyst Developer at FNZ has been designed to cater to the needs of intermediate developers within the job family. It focuses on delivering with the low-code FNZ Studio platform, providing developers with a foundation for enhancing their business, technical, and professional skills essential for effective development at FNZ. This position also serves as a stepping stone for transitioning into Senior Analyst Developer roles and supports the fulfillment of delivery obligations to customers and internal stakeholders. As an Analyst Developer at FNZ, some of your key responsibilities include collaborating with analyst testers and developer colleagues to create user story definitions and acceptance criteria. You will work within the constraints of the feature/user story to define the underlying detail of required changes and ensure that the solution is well-defined and fit-for-purpose. Additionally, you will be involved in designing APIs and external system interfaces for integration into core FNZ products and third-party vendor applications. In terms of development, you will be required to interpret complex financial business requirements and translate them into high transactional, high-availability, secure systems. You will also design and build intuitive user interfaces and interactive financial tools for financial advisers and investors. Collaborating with other developers, you will ensure that the solutions developed are robust, secure, reusable, maintainable, and performant. Furthermore, as an Analyst Developer, you are expected to actively participate in code reviews, write automated unit tests, perform manual testing, and engage in collaboration and communication channels within the organization. Mentoring new starters, sharing knowledge with other developers, and delivering knowledge-sharing sessions are also part of the role. To excel in this position, you should stay up to date with industry practices, new technologies, tools, and methods. Proactively resolving technical issues, creating novel solutions to problems, and continuing to learn and grow in both the FNZ business domain and technical skills are essential aspects of the role. The ideal candidate for this role should have at least 2+ years of experience as a Software Developer (preferably in Java), a Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, and proven experience in low-code development platforms. Additionally, you should be confident, able to take initiative, learn quickly, work well in a team, and be passionate about creating innovative solutions for customers.
