Job Description
- As a Manager, Accounting at our client's organization, you will play a crucial role within the corporate accounting team by overseeing the day-to-day operations of the accounting function. Your leadership will be instrumental in guiding and supporting team members in completing various accounting and reporting tasks related to fixed assets, cash, and prepaid processing. Your responsibilities will include ensuring accurate accounting and reporting of fixed assets, cash, and prepaids, managing components of the monthly financial close process, and actively participating in the development and implementation of accounting policies, procedures, and operational strategies. Additionally, you will be involved in recruitment, coaching, and development of accounting professionals in alignment with organizational goals. To excel in this role, you must exhibit sound judgement in decision-making, set and achieve objectives effectively, provide clear direction to team members, and proactively identify and address technical, operational, and organizational challenges. Your ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, communicate effectively, and drive projects and process improvement initiatives will be essential. The ideal candidate for this position should possess a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, including 1-3 years of managerial experience. A background in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required, with additional certifications such as CA, CPA, and prior experience in Big 4 Public Accounting being advantageous. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, is necessary, while familiarity with SAP and BlackLine is preferred. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, flexibility in problem-solving, and excellent written and oral communication abilities are key attributes for success in this role.
