Job Description

• Develop and implement carbon farming projects aligned with Puroearth, Verified Carbon Standard (VCS), or similar protocols.
• Design enriched biochar blends using FOM, vermicompost, and other organic inputs for diverse crop plantations across India.
• Create and refine Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for biochar application, FOM, and Energy plantations across cropping systems.
• Lead efforts to formulate biochar-based soil nutrition/fertilizers (organic, inorganic, and compound).
• Conduct field trials to evaluate biochars impact on soil fertility, carbon sequestration, and crop yield.
• Collaborate with FPOs, NGOs, and government bodies to scale carbon and biochar initiatives.
• Monitor/document GHG reductions and soil carbon improvements for carbon credit validation.
• Support dMRV (digital Monitoring, Reporting, Verification) using GIS and remote sensing tools.
• Provide training to farmers and field staff on biochar production, application, and fertilizer use.
• Prepare technical reports, policy briefs, and contribute to scientific publications.
