Job Description
Seeking a highly skilled Lead Network Operations Engineer specializing in Wi-Fi certification and advanced network monitoring. This role is crucial for global network stability, performance, and security across Wi-Fi, routing, switching, firewalls, SD-WAN, and SASE. Responsibilities include driving operational excellence, implementing enhancements, and proactive capacity/bandwidth management using robust monitoring tools.
qualification
At least 10+ years of experience in Network Operations, with a minimum of 6 years in Core
Network Security.
Mandatory Wi-Fi Certification(s) from leading vendors (e.g., CWNA, CCNP Wireless, Aruba
Certified ClearPass Professional (ACCP)) are highly desired and will be given strong preference.
Proven Experience and relevant network and security certifications such as CCNP, CCSP, Fortinet
NSE, AWS/Azure/GCP Networking/Security Specialist or equivalent.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical
concepts effectively to all levels of management and technical teams.
Responsibilities:Global Network Operations & Support:
Lead and support day-to-day network operations across PAN India and global locations,
ensuring high availability and performance of our network infrastructure.
Actively engage in incident resolution, change management, and problem
management, applying deep technical expertise to complex network issues.
Oversee and support the implementation of new network technologies and solutions from
pilot to production.
Advanced Network Monitoring & Capacity Management:
Implement, manage, and optimize network monitoring tools (PRTG, Sapphire, Netflow
Tools) for comprehensive visibility into network performance, traffic patterns, and potential
bottlenecks.
Proactively monitor and manage network capacity and bandwidth, identifying trends,
forecasting future needs, and recommending solutions to ensure optimal resource utilization
across MPLS, Internet, and SD-WAN links.
Perform network analysis to diagnose complex performance issues and ensure service
level objectives are met.
Wi-Fi & Wireless Infrastructure Expertise:
Specialize in the design, configuration, and advanced troubleshooting of enterprise-grade
Cisco and Aruba Wi-Fi solutions.
Leverage Wi-Fi certifications to ensure best practices in wireless network deployment,
security, and performance optimization for a high-density, business-critical environment.
Network Security & Edge Technologies:
Configure, manage, and troubleshoot L3-level Cisco Routing, Cisco/Brocade Switching,
and FortiGate Firewalls.
Work with advanced network security concepts including SASE (Secure Access Service
Edge) and SD-WAN (Software-Defined Wide Area Network) for secure and optimized
connectivity.
Contribute to setting network and security strategies, standards, and procedures, including
Endpoint Security (AV + DLP).
Perform threat analysis, vulnerability assessments, and incident response to
proactively mitigate security risks across the network.
Network Security Expertise in Cloud (Private and Public) Environments:
Hands-on experience securing network infrastructure in leading public cloud platforms (e.g.,
AWS, Azure, GCP) including Security Groups, Network ACLs, VPN Gateways, Direct
Connect/ExpressRoute, Transit Gateways/VPC Peering.
Strong understanding of cloud networking principles, best practices for network
segmentation, and secure connectivity models in cloud environments.
Experience implementing and managing cloud-native network security services (e.g.,
WAF, DDoS protection, Cloud Firewalls).
Knowledge of network security within private cloud/virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware
NSX, OpenStack Networking).
Familiarity with cloud security posture management (CSPM) tools and cloud compliance
frameworks.
Automation & Continuous Improvement:
Drive network automation initiatives using Python, Ansible, and shell scripting to
streamline operational tasks and enhance efficiency.
Develop, enhance, and execute documented procedures focusing on real-time security
alerts, administration, troubleshooting, and customer reporting.
Operational Excellence & Compliance:
Support internal environments, private, and public cloud network infrastructure.
Implement policies for allocating administrative tasks, monitoring audit logs for suspicious
activity, and maintaining strict operational procedures to ensure overall network
infrastructure availability.
Provide dedicated support with flexibility for on-call rotation as needed.
