Associate Quality Automation Engineer @ BMC Software

Job Description

Job Summary:As an Associate Quality Automation Engineer, you will work closely with the QA and development teams to design, develop, and execute automated test scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of software products. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining automation frameworks and contributing to continuous integration and delivery pipelines.Key Responsibilities:Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for web, mobile, or backend applications.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and design test cases.Identify, record, and document thoroughly any bugs or issues.Assist in designing and implementing automation frameworks and tools.Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving testing processes.Support continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines by integrating automation scripts.Analyze test results and provide timely feedback to development teams.Stay updated with new automation tools, best practices, and industry trends.Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.Basic understanding of software testing methodologies and QA processes.Familiarity with one or more automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Appium).Knowledge of programming/scripting languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or similar.Understanding of CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar is a plus.Good analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to work effectively in a team environment.Strong communication skills.Preferred Skills:Experience with API testing and tools like Postman or RestAssured.Familiarity with version control systems like Git.Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
