Why this job matters

The Software Engineering Professional supports the execution of the software engineering strategy and roadmap that supports BT's commercial strategy through cross functional project and technical delivery and the participation of a team that pursues innovation as well as engineering excellence.

Required

Ansible:Strong experience in using Ansible for configuration management, automation of infrastructure tasks, and orchestration. Ability to write efficient playbooks, roles, and manage inventories across environments.

Jenkins:Expertise in setting up and maintaining Jenkins pipelines for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD). Familiarity with Jenkins plugins, scripted and declarative pipelines, and integration with version control systems like Git.

Docker:Solid understanding of containerization concepts using Docker. Experience in building, deploying, and managing Docker containers, writing Dockerfiles, and working with Docker Compose for multi-container applications.

Django:Hands-on experience in developing web applications using the Django framework. Knowledge of Django ORM, views, templates, middleware, and RESTful API development. Familiarity with deployment practices and performance optimization.Candidate need to have a good understanding on the following concepts

System architecture
CI/CD pipelines
Containerization
Configuration management
Web application frameworks
Familiarity with cloud platforms and agile methodologies is also beneficial

Desirable:

Natural Language Understanding (NLU):

Exposure to NLU concepts and tools such as spaCy, NLTK, or transformer-based models. Ability to integrate NLU capabilities into applications to enable intelligent text processing, intent recognition, and conversational interfaces
