As a Consultant-Manual Tester at Genpact, you will play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality software delivery by utilizing your strong technical expertise and a meticulous approach to quality assurance. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing test cases for web, mobile, and service API testing, managing test efforts using Jira for test case management and defect tracking, collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and testing needs, conducting thorough testing of applications to align with user requirements and business goals, conducting UAT according to strict guidelines, providing detailed documentation and reports on test coverage, execution, and results, identifying, isolating, and documenting defects during the software development lifecycle, and suggesting improvements to processes and tools to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness. Qualifications we seek in you include a strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes, experience in testing mobile applications on iOS and Android platforms as well as web applications, hands-on experience using Jira for test management, relevant QA testing experience in agile environments, proficiency in using tools like Postman or similar, hands-on experience in functional, regression, and compatibility testing for web and mobile applications, a solid understanding of the STLC & SDLC process, experience in conducting UAT, and basic SQL knowledge for data retrieval. Preferred qualifications/skills include knowledge of performance testing, automated testing tools and frameworks along with basic coding skills, and experience with continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
