Data Engineer - GZ @ Prudent Globaltech

Job Description

• Design, build, and optimize scalable and reliable ETL/ELT pipelines using SQL, PySpark, and cloud-native services.
• Implement data ingestion, transformation, and integration workflows from multiple structured/unstructured data sources.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and performance across the data lifecycle.

• Architect and manage data solutions on Azure (ADF, Data Lake, Databricks, Synapse).
• Leverage Snowflake for data modeling, performance tuning, and advanced analytics.
• Implement security, governance, and monitoring best practices.

• Lead and mentor a team of data engineers, setting technical direction and enforcing coding/architecture standards.
• Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to define data requirements and deliver solutions.
• Drive adoption of modern data engineering practices, CI/CD, and automation.

• Optimize large-scale data processing using PySpark and distributed systems.
• Implement best practices for query tuning, cost optimization, and pipeline efficiency.

• Strong hands-on experience with ETL/ELT design and development.
• Proficiency in SQL (advanced) for complex queries, performance tuning, and stored procedures.
• Expertise in PySpark and distributed data processing frameworks.
• Solid experience with Azure services (ADF, ADLS, Databricks, Synapse, Key Vault, etc.).
• Strong working knowledge of Snowflake (data modeling, SnowSQL, task/stream management, query optimization).
