Trainee Test Engineer @ QualityKiosk

Job Description

• JUNIOR DATA QUALITY ENGINEER We re seeking a motivated Junior Data Quality Engineer to support data integrity initiatives across our organization
• You ll work alongside data engineers, analysts, and business teams to ensure high-quality, actionable datasets that drive trusted insights and decisions
• Key ResponsibilitiesExecute data quality assessments and profiling to uncover anomalies and inconsistencies
• Monitor datasets across pipelines, flagging, tracking, and documenting quality issues
• Develop, run, and maintain validation routines or automated tests (eg, scripts or tools)
• Collaborate with engineers and analysts to trace root causes and implement fixes or process improvements
• Assist in defining data quality metrics, dashboards, and reporting structures
• Document data quality standards, validation rules, and issue resolutions
• Required Skills & QualificationsBachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, or related field
• Basic proficiency in SQL, including joins, CTEs, aggregate functions, window functions
• Foundational programming experience (Python, R, or similar) for scripting validations or automations
• Familiarity or willingness to learn ETL/data pipeline tools (eg, Airflow, Databricks, Talend, Great Expectations)
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to spot inconsistencies others may overlook
• Good collaboration and written/verbal communication skills to work across technical and business teams
• Preferred / Nice-to-haveFamiliarity with data warehousing concepts and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Experience or exposure to data quality tools/frameworks (eg, Great Expectations, Deequ, Informatica, Talend)
• Exposure to dashboard/report validation or BI tools (eg, Power BI, Tableau)
• Basic understanding of data modeling, indexing, views, partitions
