Job Description
Role & responsibilities
- Responsible for maintaining the current Inventory allocation algorithms and developing new algorithms based on the business requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams like demand planning, order fulfillment and digital integration teams in assimilating requirements and owning end to end data driven projects.
- Develop and maintain data models and visualizations to support data-driven decision making.
- Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency through regular data quality checks and cleansing.
- Process a large amount of data and do deep dives to understand certain trends/patterns, carry out correlation analysis to identify causes and relatedness.
- Demonstrate high technical appetite and functional experience in building algorithm and logics for inventory allocation function.
- Inform, influence, support, and execute key decisions and launches.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in data analysis and process mining.
- Easily understands business problems and translates them into analytical requirements and tasks.
Preferred candidate profile
- 3+ years of relevant work experience as a Business Analyst; ideally in a retail / e-commerce setting.
- Understanding of SAP systems and basic supply chain & order processing principles with respect to inventory management.
- Strong experience in Python and SQL & excel is a must.
- Possess experience of conducting UAT on enhancement; can provide QA support and guidance to team members for algorithms and related development projects.
- Experience working on data integration projects, collaborating with development teams and executing UATs of the developments.
- Demonstrated experience writing complex SQL queries and python scripts to extract and integrate data from multiple database sources.
- Experience of using data visualization tools like Excel, Power BI, and Tableau is an asset.
- Understanding of order flow from cart to fulfillment is desirable.
- Excellent with communications and stakeholder engagement.
- Thorough knowledge of quantitative data analysis, report writing, and presenting findings.
- Utilize analytical skills to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate large amounts of data with accuracy.
- Proven ability to connect with internal stakeholders and excel in a fast-paced environment.
