Job Description
- Role Overview: You will be part of the Trainee GOglobal Data & AI Program at Merck Group, a 2-year program that offers diverse experiences in data & AI-driven projects. As a participant, you will have the opportunity to work in both Bangalore, India, and Darmstadt, Germany, gaining exposure to various industries, technologies, and applications. Your role will involve contributing to data science and engineering projects, collaborating with different teams, and driving the development of innovative products within the business. Key Responsibilities: - Learn about the Groups Data & AI Strategy, Data Culture, and Data Governance while supporting products and projects within the Merck Data & AI Organization. - Apply and strengthen your data & AI skills by contributing to projects in various sectors such as Manufacturing, Supply Chain, R&D, Marketing, and Sales. - Expand your global network by engaging with other data & AI enthusiasts across Merck. Qualifications Required: - Masters degree or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, (Industrial) Engineering, Computational Chemistry, Physics, or a related field. - Mandatory programming experience with languages such as Python, R, Matlab, Java, or C++. - Prior experience with Palantir Foundry or AWS is beneficial. - Ideally, you have completed two data & AI related internships and have international experience. - Strong interest in AI, machine learning, data engineering, and analysis. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. - Strong analytical skills, ability to think creatively, and a pragmatic approach to work. - Comfortable working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures. - Ability to communicate results to both technical and non-technical audiences. - Strong interpersonal skills with a willingness to share knowledge and skills.
