Java Back End Developer @ Capgemini

Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Software Engineer with strong expertise in Java 17, Spring Boot 3.x, and Microservices architecture. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with cloud platforms (preferably Azure), DevOps practices, and production support. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable enterprise applications and services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java 17, J2EE, Spring Boot 3.x, and Hibernate.
• Build and deploy microservices-based solutions with a focus on scalability and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and manage deployments using DevOps tools and practices.
• Work with Azure cloud services for hosting, monitoring, and scaling applications.
• Provide L2/L3 production support, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability of services.
• Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing.
• Document technical designs, processes, and configurations.

Required Skills:

• Strong proficiency in Java 17, J2EE, Spring Boot 3.x, and Hibernate.
• Experience in designing and implementing RESTful APIs and Microservices.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud Services (App Services, Azure Functions, Azure DevOps, etc.).
• Familiarity with DevOps tools like Jenkins, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, especially in production environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-204, AZ-400) are a plus.
• Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Azure Monitor.
