- As a Lead Software Engineer in the Enterprise Switching organization at Cisco, you will play a crucial role in developing and integrating top-tier products like the Catalyst Cat9000 series. These switches are essential for SD-Access, offering the bandwidth, speed, and scale needed for hybrid work environments. Your work will directly impact the security, IoT, and Cloud capabilities of these switches, enhancing network experiences both on-premises and in the cloud. **Key Responsibilities:** - Understand software system specifications and develop sophisticated test plans - Utilize strong programming knowledge in Python/C/C++, git, AI/ML for developing modular and scalable automation - Implement CI/CD, Jenkins, Test driven development, and Test as a service approach - Experience in configuring and fixing Protocols such as ISIS/OSPF, BGP, L2/L3 VPN, EVPN, and more - Collaborate with a BU-wide technical community to innovate on next-gen technology - Mentor colleagues and work on ground-breaking technologies - Ensure the quality and functionality of networking equipment used in critical institutions **Qualifications Required:** - 7 - 12 years of proven experience as a software test engineer in computer networking - Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field (MS preferred) At Cisco, we are revolutionizing how data and infrastructure connect and protect organizations in the AI era and beyond.
