Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and configure enterprise firewalls including Fortigate, Checkpoint, and Palo Alto Networks in a production environment.
- Monitor firewall logs and alerts to identify and respond to security incidents.
- Perform routine maintenance, updates, and configuration changes to firewalls.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to firewall connectivity, performance, and security policies.
- Assist in incident response activities related to firewall security events.
- Maintain documentation of configurations, procedures, and incident reports.
- Collaborate with network and security teams to ensure firewall policies align with operational requirements.
- Support audits and compliance activities related to firewall configurations and security controls.
- Stay updated on firewall features, security patches, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in security operations, with a focus on firewall management.
- Strong hands-on experience with Fortigate, Checkpoint, and Palo Alto firewalls.
- Good understanding of network protocols, VPN, NAT, and security policies.
- Relevant certifications such as CCSA, CCSE, PCNSE, or equivalent are preferred.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment.
