Job Description
Windows Active Directory (AD) Administration
- Administer and manage complex multi-domain, multi-forest AD environments.
- Plan, implement, and optimize Active Directory structure, Group Policies, DNS, DHCP, ADFS, and AD replication.
- Manage FSMO roles, AD trusts, and authentication/authorization escalations.
- Implement and maintain AD security standards, RBAC, OU structures, and delegated administration.
- Handle AD backup, recovery, and disaster recovery testing.
Patch Management
- Lead and manage the enterprise patching process for Windows servers and applications using WSUS/SCCM/Intune or equivalent tools.
- Develop patch management schedules ensuring minimal downtime and business disruption.
- Perform compliance checks and remediation of vulnerabilities identified through internal audits and external security advisories.
- Automate patch deployment and reporting to maintain 100% compliance levels.
- Coordinate with application owners, security teams, and business stakeholders to ensure successful patch rollout.
VMware Virtualization (L3 Support)
- Provide expert-level support for VMware vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, vSAN, and NSX environments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to HA/DRS, vMotion, snapshots, storage, and virtual networking.
- Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and cluster optimization.
- Manage lifecycle upgrades and patching of VMware infrastructure.
- Support datacenter migration, consolidation, and DR strategy implementation.
Operational Excellence
- Act as a final escalation point for high-priority incidents and ensure quick resolution.
- Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement permanent fixes for recurring issues.
- Participate in change advisory board (CAB) meetings and ensure all changes follow ITIL standards.
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), technical documentation, and knowledge base articles.
- Mentor L1/L2 teams and conduct periodic training sessions.
- Collaborate with OEMs (Microsoft, VMware, Security vendors) for critical issue resolution.
