Roles & Responsibilities
Cloud DevOps Engineer GCP Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Deployment Manager, or Ansible Build and manage CI/CD pipelines (Cloud Build, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar) for application deployment Automate operational processes such as monitoring, scaling, patching, and security hardening Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting using Stackdriver (Cloud Operations) or equivalent tools Collaborate with development teams to ensure applications are cloud-native, resilient, and cost-optimized Manage containerized applications with Kubernetes (GKE) or Cloud Run Ensure security and compliance best practices in cloud deployments (IAM, VPC security, firewall rules, service accounts) Troubleshoot and resolve issues across infrastructure, CI/CD, and production systems Work on Apigee API Management platform for both administration and development activities, including API proxies, policies, security, monitoring, and deployments
Need to work with customers directly and should be able to work in Night shifts Required Skills & Qualifications
36+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps / Cloud Engineering Strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services (Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, BigQuery, VPC, IAM) Hands-on experience with Apigee Edge / Apigee X API Management (administration, API proxy development, CI/CD automation) Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Terraform preferred Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, GKE) Solid understanding of CI/CD practices and tools (Cloud Build, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, etc) Experience with monitoring & logging (Stackdriver, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK) Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or Go) Good knowledge of networking, security, and identity management in cloud environments Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills Preferred / Nice-to-Have
GCP Professional certifications (e-g
, Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer, Cloud Architect) Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud setups Knowledge of service mesh (Istio/Anthos) and GitOps practices Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies Experience
