Role: Oracle HFM/ FCC Technical Consultant
Role Description:
- Oracle Hyperion Administrator will be part of project delivery and responsible for the following activities:
- Document the pre-requisites for setting up Hyperion environments, and walk through with customer infrastructure/ IT team.
- Coordinate with customer infrastructure/ IT team(s) to ensure and validate fulfillment of all pre-requisites.
- Install and configure Oracle Hyperion components in Development, Test/UAT and Production environments.
- Apply necessary Patch Set Updates (PSU) to the base version of Hyperion components (Foundation, Planning, Essbase, etc).
- Integrate the Hyperion environments with customer's Corporate LDAP and SMTP servers.
- Perform environment validation and system diagnostics checks post successful configuration and patching.
- Extend support for day-to-day environment related activities such as troubleshooting, tuning, security administration, etc.
- Monitor Hyperion application performance, availability and utilization.
- Work with customer infrastructure/ IT teams for backup and recovery of Hyperion environment.
- Develop scripts (e.g. MaxL, batch, shell, etc) for automation of relevant administration activities.
- Liaise with customer infrastructure, IT teams and/or Oracle Technical Support to resolve environment related issues.
- Create and maintain system documentation (technical architecture document, installation and configuration guide, etc.)
Required Experience
- 8-10 yrs of overall experience with 5-6 yrs focused on Oracle Hyperion.
- In depth understanding of Oracle Hyperion architecture.
- Demonstrated experience in setting up and administering Oracle Hyperion environments including Foundation Services, Planning, Essbase, HFM, Financial Reporting, FDMEE, etc. Should have managed and executed at least 3 such installations end-to-end for different customers.
- Hands-on experience in setting up and tuning Hyperion environments on both Windows and Unix/ Linux platforms.
- Worked with the latest version of Oracle Hyperion - i.e. 11.2
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal, written and comprehension).
- Sound documentation skills.
Tool/Technology Skills
Must have hands-on experience in working with the following tools/technologies:
1) Oracle Hyperion.
2) SQL.
Note: Hands on experience with monitoring tools for Hyperion environments will be an added benefit.
