Job Description
As a Product Manager (Job title: Senior Product Specialist - you will be responsible for production planning and detailed scheduling (PP/DS) end-to-end scenarios and functionality, covering both Discrete and Process Industries. You will be responsible for market research, competitor analysis, customer requirements management. You will shape the short, mid-term and long-term strategy, define new requirements, and identify whitespaces for partners. You will be a spokesperson for PP/DS in front of customers and partners.
As PP/DS is tightly integrated in multiple SAP s business applications like production planning (PP), supply chain, manufacturing, procurement and other s , you will be able to collaborate with many teams within the SAP organization and beyond.
In addition, you will be responsible for evangelizing PP/DS across multiple internal and external channels as well as gathering customer feedback, assisting proof of concept engagements, and delivering market knowledge back into the engineering teams. You will also directly support our leading customers not only on their journeys to S/4HANA PP/DS, but also help them to integrate PP/DS with the S/4HANA Core applications and products like SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP) or SAP Digital Manufacturing (DM), and feed their requirements back into the development organization.
What you bring
- Bachelor s or Masters degree in computer science or equivalent
- Comprehensive knowledge in Manufacturing and Supply Chain Management concepts and processes
- Deep knowledge in at least one area: ERP or S/4 HANA Production Planning (PP) and/or Detailed Scheduling (PP/DS)
- Good general knowledge of ERP or S/4HANA
- Good knowledge of Integration scenarios
- Good knowledge of SAP s network
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, German is a plus
- Strong service and customer focus
- Strong communication skills
- Good software architectural and development skills is a plus
- Solution-oriented and open minded
- Interpersonal skills: strong team player, proactive networking, results and execution focus, motivated to work in an international and intercultural environment
- Ability to balance multiple priorities and work under time pressure
- Advanced presentation skills
- Work Experience: 8 + years of professional experience in product management, solution management, consulting, presales and/or development in the manufacturing and/or supply chain area
