Lead the end-to-end design management process on high-value and complex design & build projects.
Strategically plan and coordinate design activities to align with project goals, budgets, and timelines.
Act as the primary interface between clients, consultants, authorities, and internal teams on all design-related matters.
Guide multidisciplinary teams (architecture, structure, MEP, ID, faade, etc.) to ensure integrated and buildable solutions.
Drive design innovation while balancing technical feasibility, cost efficiency, and construction practicality.
Lead design review workshops and manage the resolution of design-related issues and risks.
Ensure timely delivery of design documentation at each project stage, including milestone and construction packages.
Support tender and procurement processes through design inputs, value engineering, and contractor coordination.
Oversee design compliance with statutory approvals, codes, sustainability standards, and client requirements.
Mentor and develop junior design managers and coordinators, promoting high performance and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Architecture / BE - Civil
NICMAR preferred.
8 to 12 years of experience in design and project management roles, with at least 35 years in a senior design management position within a Design & Build environment.
Demonstrated leadership of multi-million-dollar projects across commercial, mixed-use, industrial, or institutional sectors.
Strong working knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, and site interfaces.
Skilled in managing consultants, contractors, and client stakeholders through complex design development cycles.
Advanced knowledge of relevant building codes, authority regulations, and industry best practices.
Proficient in design tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM workflows.
Exceptional communication, leadership, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
