Functional Consultant - L1 @ NIIT

Job Description

An L1 Functional Consultant works as a subject matter expert in specific business processes (functions) and acts as a bridge between business users and technical/solution teams. This role involves gathering business requirements, configuring systems, assisting in solution design, and ensuring that the implemented systems align with business needs.

• Engage with business stakeholders to understand and map their business processes and requirements.
• Document functional requirements, translate business needs into functional specifications.
• Assist in designing solutions (configuration / setup) to meet those requirements, working closely with technical teams when necessary.
• Configure the system module(s) as per requirements following best practices.
• Support testing: prepare test cases, assist in executing functional tests, support user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Assist in data migration, validation, cleansing where needed.
• Provide end-user training and documentation.
• Participate in workshops, requirement gathering sessions.
• Support in post-implementation support and issue resolution.
• Liaise with technical/architect teams for integrations, enhancements, customizations.
• Ensure deliverables are aligned to quality standards, timelines, and project scope.
