Job Description

Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated Software Testing Intern to join our Software Testing / QA team. Over the course of the year, the intern will support testing of new applications, contribute to improving quality, and gain valuable handson industry experience. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to work closely with development teams, learn best practices, and become proficient in both manual and automated testing in an Agile environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Review specifications, requirements, and design documents to understand new application features.
  • Design comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on requirements.
  • Execute test cases (manual and automated) for new features, regression, smoke, sanity, functional, integration, UI/UX etc.
  • Use Java and/or Python to write, debug, and maintain test scripts or automation code.
  • Work with APIs (RESTful, etc.), validate responses, errorhandling, data integrity.
  • Report, track, retest, and verify bug fixes; document defects with clear steps, expected vs actual behaviour.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, product, and design teams in sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and adapt to evolving requirements; be able to work in iterations.
  • Assist in continuous integration / continuous deployment (CI/CD) cycles; help integrate automated tests into build pipelines.
  • Maintain test documentation and help improve QA processes and tools.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelors degree completed in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong programming skills in Java and Python. Able to write, understand, debug code.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) understanding of sprints, standups, iterative development.
  • Solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
  • Knowledge of manual testingtest case design, test execution, bug tracking and reporting.
  • Ability to work in a team, good communication skills (verbal & written).
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, ability to think of edge cases.
  • Willingness to learn, adapt, take feedback.
