Job Description
Role & responsibilities :
- Gather and document requirements and convert them into clear test cases.
- Design, execute, and maintain manual test plans.
- Perform functional, regression, sanity, exploratory, and UAT testing.
- Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies.
- Prepare detailed bug reports and track them until resolution.
- Collaborate with the developer and project manager to ensure product quality.
- Prepare final UAT report and provide sign-off for release.
- Continuously suggest improvements in testing processes and tools.
Preferred candidate profile
- Basic understanding of web apps (HTML, CSS, SQL).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to think from an end-user perspective.
- Good written and verbal communication skills for requirement understanding and reporting.
- Attention to detail and curiosity to explore what could break.
- Knowledge of SDLC & STLC concepts.
- Familiarity with UAT process and ability to prepare UAT documents/reports.
- Basic knowledge of bug tracking tools (JIRA, Trello, or similar) is a plus.
- Ability to work independently in a small team setup.
