Job Description

Role & responsibilities :

1. Developing recruitment strategy

  • Consulting with hiring managers: They collaborate closely with different departments to understand their staffing needs, job requirements, team dynamics, and desired candidate profiles.
  • Creating hiring plans: They design and implement effective recruiting strategies to attract qualified candidates, which may include setting quarterly and annual hiring goals.
  • Analyzing market trends: Specialists stay informed on market trends, salary expectations, and talent availability to inform and refine hiring strategies.

2. Sourcing and attracting talent

  • Crafting job descriptions: They write clear, engaging, and accurate job descriptions to post on company websites, job boards (like Indeed and LinkedIn), and social media platforms.
  • Active candidate sourcing: They proactively identify and engage potential candidates through headhunting, networking events, job fairs, and specialized websites.
  • Building talent pipelines: Specialists build and maintain a network of potential candidates for future job openings, especially for roles with specific, in-demand skill sets.

3. Screening and interviewing candidates

  • Resume screening: They review and filter resumes and applications to create a shortlist of qualified candidates who meet the job criteria.
  • Conducting initial interviews: Specialists perform phone or video interviews to assess a candidate's experience, skills, and cultural fit before they are passed on to hiring managers.
  • Assessing qualifications: They may administer assessments or tests, such as technical skills tests, to evaluate a candidate's abilities.

4. Managing the hiring process

  • Coordinating interviews: They handle the logistics of scheduling interviews between candidates and hiring managers, as well as gathering feedback from all parties.
  • Extending job offers: They negotiate job offers, compensation packages, and other terms of employment with the selected candidate.
  • Managing administrative tasks: Specialists process hiring paperwork, perform background and reference checks, and maintain accurate records in an Applicant Tracking System (ATS).

5. Onboarding and new hire support

  • Assisting with orientation: They help facilitate a smooth transition for new hires by assisting with the orientation process.
  • Ensuring a positive experience: By maintaining clear and timely communication, they ensure a positive candidate experience, from the first contact to the final offer.
