Job Description
- Expertise in design and manufacturing of foam pads of all rows of seat Cushion/back/AR/HR foam pads
- Deep knowledge of foam tool design, manufacturing process (DFAM) and costing
- Create criteria sections confirming to comfort and packaging guidelines.
- Coordinate with JIT Integration and Trim team to define optimum attachment scheme to meet craftsmanship requirements.
- Responsible for initiating design solutions by meeting the Design Practice requirements.
- Create DVPR/DFMEA for the Seat Foam and align with the supplier/team
- Create technical data sheet and RFQs for the new programs and assess new supplier competency
- Responsible for supplier and CFT convergence.
- CAD Data finalization and release per program milestones.
- Co-ordinate TKO sign-off processes and ensure targets are met.
- Responsible for quality improvements, weight reduction and cost reduction.
- Design support for the virtual validation teams (Impact, Durability and NVH) to meet various test requirements.
- 6 to 8 years of product Design & development experience in automotive seating foams
- Working experience in foam and complete seat designing and development
- Knowledge in UG or CATIA modeling, Surfacing and Enovia PLM.
- Good Knowledge in Manufacturing & Assembly feasibility study.
