Professional Experience description:

We are looking for a candidate with 2-4years of experience as practice lead and subject matter expert for Digitalization and Technology enablement initiatives across the business delivering value inthe domains of:

  • Platform Integrations and Digital Architecture
  • Technology Scan
  • Portals
  • IoT and GIS
  • RPA and IPA
  • AI, ML and OCR
  • Enterprise Mobility
  • BI and Dashboard
  • SCM digitalization
  • Blockchain
Job Purpose

We are looking for an energetic individual who can support our digital initiatives and roadmap. The hire will be responsible for building and optimizing digital architecture and channels, aswell as spreading digital awareness across functional teams. The individual must be self-directed and comfortable working with multiple teams, systems and products. The hire will need to work closely with our business analysts, System Integrators and corporate functions.

SSOE is powered by a strong professional team of 250 employees spread across 18 geographies with annual turnover of US $5 billion and 31 Million tons per year.

Our business operates on best of the breed application stackcovering SAP, CTRM, IMOS-Shipping and Office 365 solutions. These solutions areintegrated with each other and help business drive operational efficiency and provide insights required by key stakeholders. External data coming from our multiple partners/agencies also help business users to take critical trading decisions. SSOE wants to leverage latest technology stack, digital solutions and start up ecosystem to improve operations efficiency, reduce cost and increase revenue. The hire should be able to hunt for digital ecosystems and build innovative approach, solutions and platform to achieve desired business outcomes.

Because of geographical spread of our business and multiple solutions,the desired candidate needs to work closely with key stakeholders and our partner ecosystem to deliver results. The candidate must possess strong communication and influencing skills.

Key Responsibility Areas are:

Digital Leadership

  • Design Digital Strategy and benefit realization
  • Digital transformation and Project management
  • Technology scan and adoption for business value

Operation and Support

  • Work closely with digital group and business teams to build digital assets and channel.
  • Monitor utilization of digital channels and improve end user experience.
  • Work with application team to build and streamline business dashboards.

Drive adoption & awareness:

  • Understand market trends and technology to adopt relevant solutions that will bring value to SSOE.
  • Work with stakeholders including the Trade, Risk and Finance teams to drive usage and adoption of digital channels and assets.
  • Collaborate with corporate functions like Group IT and Group D&A to introduce promising technology and solutions relevant to SSOE.

Key Challenges:

Business

SSOE is a geographically spreadbusiness with hybrid application architecture and multiple integration touchpoints.Close co-ordination between key users, System integrators and multiple teams isextremely critical to deliver results.

Drive Digital

Being a commodity trading company, our constant endeavor is to reduce operating cost, bring process efficiency and address trading risks. SSO Eintends to improve its digital footprint across value chain by leveraging solutions like Portals, BI, AI-ML, RPA, OCR, GIS, Mobility, IoT, Blockchain,etc. We need to move to the next level of identifying and implementing these cutting-edgetechnologies in a structured manner.

Manage End to end project delivery:

Manage entire project related activities such as business requirement finalization, RFP preparation, vendor negotiation and on-boarding, resources selection, project plan preparation and monitoring, closure, adoption, Manage / Lead cross functional project team.

Building relationship:

Partnerwith Head-IT to understand business priorities, provide necessary support for digital projects, share latest updates on new products/technology.

Influence business owners/stakeholders to adopt latest technology & global bestpractices in the area of digital.
