Job Description
Monitoring Engineer Infrastructure OperationsLocation: [Noida]
Department: IT Operations
Reports To: Monitoring Team Lead / IT Operations Manager
Employment Type: [Full-Time]
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Monitoring Engineer to join our IT Operations team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring the health and performance of our IT infrastructure, promptly addressing alerts, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operations.
Key Responsibilities:-
Alert Monitoring & Triage:
Continuously monitor infrastructure alerts using tools such as Nagios, Site24x7 and other associated product alerts and Perform initial assessments to determine the severity and impact of alerts. -
Incident Escalation:
Classify and escalate incidents to appropriate teams (e.g., Network, Database, Application and infra team) based on predefined severity levels and SLAs. -
Communication & Coordination:
Act as the first point of contact for alert notifications. Communicate effectively with internal teams to facilitate timely resolutions. -
Documentation & Reporting:
Log all incidents and actions taken in the ticketing system (Zendesk). Generate daily/weekly reports on alert trends and incident resolutions. -
Root Cause Analysis:
Collaborate with technical teams to identify the root causes of recurring issues and assist in implementing preventive measures. -
Continuous Improvement:
Provide feedback on monitoring tools and processes to enhance alert accuracy and reduce false positives.

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. -
Experience:
24 years of experience in IT infrastructure monitoring or a similar role. -
Technical Skills:

Proficiency in monitoring tools (e.g., Site24x7, Nagios etc ).

Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., Zendesk).

Basic understanding of networking, servers, and databases.

Ability to work under pressure and handle critical situations.
