Job Description
Primary Responsibilities:
- Developing / Fully Proficient
- Works with minimal guidance or on routine issues/activities
- Build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, data modeling, dependency, and workload management
- Demonstrates an "automation first" mentality that improves quality and efficiency
- Develops understanding of cost, complexity, and capability tradeoffs in underlying architectures
- Awareness of upstream and downstream system interactions and dependencies
- Reuses and/or develops for reuse code algorithms or data structures to address common needs
- Actively follows industry trends in technology, tools, and components, sharing finds with team members
- Participates in Agile and CI-CD practices; takes ownership of some processes or practices for the team
- Awareness of operational characteristics (e.g., security, performance, scalability, manageability) of solutions and accountability for supporting those requirements in contributed code
- Contributes to increasing team understanding of user perspective and values while advocating for user needs
- Understands what creates business or market impact and how design and delivery activities are related to that impact
- Participates in development of prototypes (mockups, models, simulations, functional capabilities) to support user engagement, interaction, and feedback
- Developer responsibilities include writing and testing programs for migrating business data in PS ERP. Success in this role requires experience with solid analytical skills with business understanding and solid collaboration skills

Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in Advanced SQL, Python and exposure to Peoplesoft ERP data structure system. This position is responsible for the development, improvement, and maintenance of migrating business from legacy billing system to PS ERP. The role requires working on business requirements, adhering to Optum coding standards, and contributing to new projects using Advanced SQL, Python, WebJob, Azure DevOps, GitHub and Peoplesoft ERP systems
- Experience in manipulating, processing, and extracting value from large datasets.Experience with relational databases: Advanced SQL, Python, SSIS, GitHub, Azure DevOps
- Hands-on experience with PeopleSoft ERP (PS ERP) modules, integrations, and data structures
- Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement
- Knowledge in data warehousing
- Familiarity with GitHub integration with Azure DevOps, Git Actions
- Solid analytics skills related to working with unstructured datasets
- Knowledge of technologies & understands the technologies used by an engineering team

- Contributes to the identification/prioritization of solutions through analysis and discussions
- Understands regulatory environment, sales and digital experience, and channel
- Designs solutions within a single channel
- Knowledgeable about current security controls
- Identifies possible solutions and pros and cons to each
- Ability to use data-driven approaches to solve problems
- Adheres to quality control guidelines & practices
- Tracks, identifies, and promptly reports issues that may affect solution quality and brings forward improvement recommendations
