Job Description
- Role Overview: As a DevOps Engineer at LSEG's Analytics group, you will be responsible for building, deploying, and maintaining cloud and on-prem infrastructure and applications. Your role will involve driving automation, monitoring, and continuous improvement in development, modernization, and operational processes. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and manage infrastructure using tools like Terraform, Helm Charts, CloudFormation, or Ansible for consistent and scalable environments. - Build, optimize, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub, or similar tools. - Work with Cloud providers (Azure, AWS, GCP) and on-prem infrastructure (VMware, Linux servers) for deployment, management, and monitoring. - Automate repetitive tasks to improve operational efficiency and reduce human intervention in building and deploying applications. - Set up monitoring and alerting systems using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog for ensuring high availability and performance. - Collaborate with architects, operations, and developers to ensure seamless integration between environments. - Implement and enforce security protocols/procedures, including access controls, encryption, and vulnerability scanning. - Provide support for issue resolution related to application deployment and DevOps-related activities. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field with 3-5 years of practical experience. - 5+ years of experience in DevOps practices. - Strong understanding of Linux/Unix system management. - Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, GCP, with preference for Azure. - Proficiency in Infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform, Helm Charts, Ansible. - Experience with CI/CD tools like GitLab, Jenkins. - Knowledge of version control systems like Git, GitLab, GitHub. - Familiarity with containerization (Kubernetes, Docker) and orchestration. - Experience in modern monitoring & logging tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog. - Working knowledge of scripting languages like Bash, Python, Groovy. - Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting skills, and communication abilities. - Exposure to serverless architecture, microservices, networking concepts, and security practices. - Experience in Agile/Scrum environments and certifications in DevOps or Cloud Technologies are a plus.
